HOW TO LEAVE A GIFT IN YOUR WILL
FOR DEMENTIA RESEARCH
If you’d like to support Alzheimer’s Research UK
with a gift in your Will, there are a few different
ways you can do so, depending on what’s right
for you.
One option is to leave a share of your estate,
after expenses like debts, liabilities, inheritance
tax, and any specific gifts have been taken care
of. Also, this type of gift isn’t affected by inflation,
so you can be sure you’re leaving what you’re
intending to.
Alternatively, you can leave a fixed cash
amount, or a specific gift, such as jewellery
or stocks & shares. Your gift can also be
conditional based on certain circumstances, for
example if someone you intend to leave a gift to
passes away before you do.
If you decide to do something amazing and
include a gift to Alzheimer’s Research UK, all
you’ll need are our full charity name, address
and registered charity number. To make sure
your wishes are honoured, it’s important to make
sure these are correct.
To make this easier, we’ve included some
wording on the next page and left a space for
your gift, whether that’s a percentage of your
estate or a specific sum.
